Taking in the groove the acute shortage of ICU facilities in the metropolis of Pune and vast surrounding areas dependent on it, Sushrut Medical Care & Research Society has launched an ultra modern fully equipped multi facility ICU at the present location, catering for all types of patients needing intensive care. The ICU has all medical and diagnostic facilities and is managed by expert technocrats and administrators. The ICU is fully functional since 17th Jan, 2001.
- Center for Rehabilitation of Spastic (Cerebral Palsied ) Children. CP clinic functions every saturday for comprehensive rehabilitation. Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist, Orthopedic surgeon and Special Educator form our team of experts for CP cases.
- GAIT lab:- specially designed for pre-operative assessment of CP and polio children. Kinematic assessment is done by Dr. s. Prakash with 3 cameras to assess GAIT pattern of a crippled child.
- Spine Center: To diagnose and treat all types of spinal problems. Operational all days of the week.

| Community Based: |
Reproductive and Child Health project is being conducted at Karjat, Dist. Raigad about 100 km from Pune as our Rural Activity. Both RCH and ISMH projects are coordinated by Dr. A. S. More our Research Officer.
We also have a free clinic for CP children at Baramati near Pune conducted once a month on every 3rd sunday. Past Activities of the Organization :

| Free Polo Camps; |
Till date 60 free Polio Camps have been organized in which 6,000 children were examined and 1,025 operations were carried out free of cost. |
| Center for rehabilitation: |
| This service caters to Crippled Children and provides free surgical rehabilitation to polio disabilities and cerebral palsy cases belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society. |

| Exhibitions: |
| Exhibitions on Accident Prevention during Ganesh Festival were organized. Twelve such exhibitions were arranged. |

| Survey: |
A survey of musculoskeletal deformities in Municipal Schools was done to identify the socio - economic background and to assess the pattern of deformities.
- No. of schools surveyed - 18.
- No. of children examined - 7180.
- No. of deformities detected - 287 (4%).

| The objective of the Spine Center is to render best spine care under one roof, with a team approach and an emphasis on conservative care. The needs of the spine patient have been extensively assessed through research. |
